Areas are where you’ll spend most of your time when moving through the Adventure section.
We’ll soon have a Quest Guide which goes into more detail about quests.
Each Area has four main sections:
Town View: An illustrated bird’s eye view of the area you’re visiting
Wilderness: find monsters from the area
Quests: find & pick up quests available in the area
Markets: buy & craft items at the different markets in the area
To visit a particular section you can either:
Click on the navigation buttons under the area’s name
In the Town view: hover over a name box and click the “Open” button
If you’ve unlocked more than one area you can quickly move to it using the arrows or dropdown list next to the Area’s name (this way you can skip going back to the World Map view):
Let's look at each of an area’s subsections in detail.
Town View
The Town view is the “overview” section of an Area. A fullscreen illustration gives you a feel for the area and a preview of the character markets you’ll find.
Hover over any market names to see more information about then and open them:
Everything you find in the Town View is accessible in more detail through the other subsections.
Wilderness
The Wilderness section of an Area is where you’ll find all of the monsters available for you to fight.
Some monsters will only appear after you’ve completed quests, so your Wilderness will evolve and change as you make your way through the game.
Click on a Monster’s Card to bring up their detailed view:
In the detailed view you’ll see:
Monster’s image and name
Their battle stats (words, minutes) and type (Normal Word Battle or Endurance)
What items they drop when defeated
Some might have requirements you must meet or pay in order to fight them
Buttons to add that monster to your Battle List or if your list is empty you can click “Fight Now” to immediately start a fight.
We have a “Battle Guide” that goes into more detail about: monster types, drops, requirements and using your Battle List.
On each Monster card you’ll see two main action buttons:
“+” button you can use to quickly add a monster into your Battle List
If button is grayed out your Battle List is full and you can’t add more monsters
If you see a red “X” after clicking it you don’t have enough Requirements to fight this monster
“i” button that opens up a Monster’s information window
The “i” information window has more detailed information about the monster like its written description, what items the monster drops, what areas you can find the monster in and more.
Under “Locations” you can click on an Area name to visit that area:
Some Monster cards will have a third “Questbook” icon on the top left hand side. This icon indicates that this monster is an objective for quests you’re currently carrying.
Hover over this icon to see what quests require the monster and how many you need to defeat:
Quests
The Quests section of an Area is where you can find quests that are available for you to pick up.
On the left hand side you’ll find a list of different markets which are offering quests. Click on a markets name to see what they are offering:
The “Global Quests” market is available in every area of the game as it offers a variety of “repeatable” that are picked up frequently.
Like monsters, some quests will only appear after completing other quests. So if an area is looking open, complete quests and more content will usually appear.
Each Quest card will have two primary buttons:
Details: click to open an information window that has the quest’s full details
Take Quest: click to pick up and add that quest to your questbook
If the “Take Quest” button is grayed out, or you can’t click it, it is because you’ve reached the limit of quests you can carry in your Questbook.
For quick reference we’ll show you how many quests you’re carrying out of the total allowed underneath the Quest Market images:
Markets
The Markets section of an Area is where you can buy & craft items, unlock Wardrobe pieces, build House items and find Stores for Special Events.
All of the items available in a market appear in a grid in the middle of the page. Click on an item to bring up that item’s details in the display box on the right:
In the detail box you’ll see:
Item name and image
Tags that describe the item type:
Item/Craft: normal game item that you’ll accumulate in your Hero Inventory
Wardrobe: cosmetic items you can customize your character looks in the Hero Wardrobe (only need to be purchased once)
House Item: items that you can use to decorate and build your Hero Maps
Locksmith: Chests you unlock in markets that carry other items inside
Tag with “Stock” amount: the number of items you have in your inventory
Quick description: longer description available by clicking the “Read full description” button
Market Price: the price you’ll pay to get the item
Read full description button: click to open an information window about what you’re buying (useful with Wardrobe & House items to see different variants)
Button to buy the item: in some cases you can enter a custom amount to buy many at a time
When looking over the price you’ll have to pay you’ll notice:
Requirements with Green box: means you meet the requirements necessary to purchase
Requirements with no Green box: missing the requirements
Quantity numbers: how many you have / how many are needed
Like Monsters and Quests, more items will appear in Markets as you complete quests and advance in the game through the main storyline quests.
The world evolves and grows with you.
