Account Goals

A writing goal for your entire account tracks all the words you write across all your files.
An account goal is great for pushing your overall writing output, “I want to write at least 20,000 words this month,” and making sure you’re where you want to be, regardless of what projects you’re working on.
The Goals page in the Account section is where we list all of your goals for easy reference and tracking.
This will bring up the Goal setting window where you’ll enter your goal.
Click on the number 0 and enter the number of words you want to write
Click on the date and select your deadline for the goal
The sentence below will update with a daily estimate of what you’ll need to write.
On the account goal widget you can see:
How many words you’ve written out of how many total
How much time is left
How many words you need to write per day to reach your goal
What % of your goal you’ve completed
Edit an Account goal
Plans change and so can your writing goals.
For any goal that’s still active you can change the word count and date deadline. We’ll keep any progress of words you’ve made so far and apply it to your new goal.
This will bring up the goal window where you’ll see your Current goal, and right below it, a space to enter your modified goal:
Enter your new word count goal and date and click the “Modify Goal” button to save your changes.
Remove an Account Goal
You can remove any active goal so that it doesn’t show up in your records.
When you remove a goal all progress toward that goal is lost.
To remove an account goal hover over the “3-dot” menu of the account goal widget and click on “Edit”:
This will bring up the goal window where you’ll see your Current goal and an option to remove the goal.
